adds a slightly nutty flavor to foods such as soups, sauces,
salads, oatmeal, breads, casseroles, etc. Yet, it does not
substantially change the texture or flavor of your favorite
recipes that would cause suspicion from those family members who
can’t stand the thought that they may be eating something that
is wonderfully healthy!

with Blueberry has a slightly sweet blueberry taste with the
combined health benefits of Sprouted Flax and blueberries. It is
ideal for adding to breakfast cereals, oatmeal, muffins, cakes,
pies or anywhere else you would like to add mild blueberry
flavour and the health benefits of Sprouted Flax and
blueberries.
MegaOmega™ Organic Sprouted Flax
with Cranberry has a slightly tart cranberry taste with the
combined health benefits of Sprouted Flax and cranberries. It is
ideal for adding to breakfast cereals, oatmeal, muffins, cakes,
pies or anywhere else you would like to add mild cranberry
flavour and the health benefits of Sprouted Flax and
cranberries.

Products at room temperature (in a closed container) for up to
two years.

Substitution Tips
MegaOmega™ Organic Sprouted Flax can be incorporated into your diet
through substituting in
a variety of ways:
Substituting Eggs – Substitute a 1:3 proportion of MegaOmega™ Organic Sprouted Flax
powder
and water mixture for eggs in recipes such as pancakes, muffins
and cookies. Use 1 tablespoon (15 ml) of MegaOmega™ Organic Sprouted Flax
plus 3 tablespoons (45 ml) of water for each egg. Let this 1:3
combination sit for several minutes together before adding to
your recipe. Your final products will
have less volume and taste slightly grumpier but have all the
health benefits of MegaOmega™ Organic Sprouted Flax
and none of the health issues associated with eggs.
Substituting Fat – Use 3 tablespoons (45 ml) MegaOmega™ Organic Sprouted Flax
for each 1 tablespoon (15 ml) of margarine, butter, shortening or cooking
oil. Flax can be substituted for all or some of the fat
depending on the recipe. If you choose to substitute all of the
fat in the recipe with MegaOmega™ Organic Sprouted Flax, you will need to increase your
liquid by 75% of the amount of MegaOmega™ Organic Sprouted Flax
you are adding
because the flax will absorb moisture.
Baked goods tend to brown more quickly if
MegaOmega™ Organic Sprouted Flax is substituted in the recipe so
you will need to keep a close eye on the baking time until you
have tried a particular recipe once or twice.
Substituting Flour – The
flour specified in a recipe can be reduced by 25% and replaced
with MegaOmega™ Organic Sprouted Flax.
It does not have the same glutinous properties as flour (MegaOmega™ Organic Sprouted Flax
is gluten-free),
so you may need to experiment with your recipes.
Due to the rising popularity of flax, recipes are beginning to
surface in current health and cooking magazines and
publications. These recipes may still include butter, shortening
or other oil in addition to the flax You can continue to
adapt the recipe using the substitution ratios if you want to
add further MegaOmega™ Organic Sprouted Flax health benefits.
Quick Tricks
Add a few tablespoons of MegaOmega™ Organic Sprouted Flax
(plain, blueberry or cranberry)
to your bowl of cooked oatmeal or cold breakfast cereal.
MegaOmega™ Organic Sprouted Flax can be added to your morning juice or chocolate milk
- usually a heaping tablespoon or two with your favorite
beverage.
Add 1/4 cup of MegaOmega™ Organic Sprouted Flax
(plain, blueberry or cranberry)
to a fruit smoothie mix, orange juice or even low-fat milk. If
you don’t want to introduce some of that texture into your milk,
consider adding it (plain) to chocolate milk and it seems like a
“milk shake”.
Stir some MegaOmega™ Organic Sprouted Flax

into applesauce for a healthy snack.
Top some MegaOmega™ Organic Sprouted Flax
(plain, blueberry or cranberry)
onto yogurt. Better than the pre-package yogurt mixes that have

Soups and casseroles can benefit from MegaOmega™ Organic Sprouted Flax
