MegaOmega™ Blueberry Smoothie

2 Cups Fresh or frozen organic blueberries
1 Tablespoon MegaOmega™ Organic Sprouted Flax with Blueberries
3/4 Cup Organic vanilla soy milk
3 Medjool dates

Blend until smooth in blender or Vita mix and enjoy. If you prefer it to be thick (like a shake) use frozen soy milk (freeze 1/2 of the soy milk in ice cube trays) and add an extra tablespoon of MegaOmega™ Organic Sprouted Flax with Blueberries.

MegaOmega™ Muesli

1 Cup Kefir cheese or cottage cheese blended until creamy
1/2 Cup Soy or rice milk
1 Tbsp Unpasturized honey
2 Tbsp Flax oil
2 Tbsp MegaOmega™ Organic Sprouted Flax (plain, blueberry or cranberry)
1 Apple grated
1 Tbsp Hazelnuts, walnuts or pecans, finely grated

In a large bowl, blend cheese, milk, honey and flax seed oil with a fork until creamy. Spread a layer of MegaOmega™ Organic Sprouted Flax in two bowls and cover with apple and nuts. Top with the cheese-oil blend and serve.

MegaOmega™ Vegetable Soup

This quick, nutrient rich vegetable soup can be prepared in 15 minutes or less. Serves three to four.

1 Tbsp Butter
1 Large onion diced
4 Cups Pure clean (not tap) water
1 Tbsp Miso
2 Low sodium organic vegetable bullion cubes
2 Cups fresh or frozen mixed vegetables (i.e. peas, corn, carrots, beans, squash)
6 Tbsp MegaOmega™ Organic Sprouted Flax
3 Tbsp Fresh chives chopped

Heat butter in a pot then sauté onion until transparent. Add water then bring to a boil. In this order, add miso, bouillon, vegetables and MegaOmega™ Organic Sprouted Flax. After adding the flax, boil for only one minute then remove from heat and add chives as a garnish before serving.

MegaOmega™ Carrots

This is a big party favorite. Serves 4.

4 Large carrots, coarse grated
1 Small red onion finely chopped
1 Tbsp Green onions chopped
Juice From 1 lemon
Juice From 1 orange
1 Tbsp Flax oil
1 Tbsp Liquid aminos or soy sauce
1 tsp Balsamic vinegar
1 Tbsp MegaOmega™ Organic Sprouted Flax
To taste Sea salt & ground pepper

In a large bowl, whisk together lemon and orange juice, oil, liquid aminos (soy sauce) and vinegar. Add carrot and onions and mix thoroughly to cover vegetables in juice. Season to taste then refrigerate for at least one-half hour. Immediately before serving sprinkle MegaOmega™ Organic Sprouted Flax on top.

MegaOmega™ Oatmeal Muffins

2 Cups Oatmeal
1 Cup Whole Wheat Pastry Flour
1/4 Cup Sunflower seeds
1/4 Cup Walnut pieces
1/4 Cup MegaOmega™ Organic Sprouted Flax
1 tsp Caraway
2 tsp Aluminum-free baking powder
1/2 tsp Sea Salt
1 Organic (or free-range) egg
1/4 Cup Unsalted butter (melted)
1 Cup Soy or rice milk

Oil or paper lined muffin cups. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a medium bowl, mix together oatmeal, flour, sunflower, walnuts, MegaOmega™ Organic Sprouted Flax, and caraway seeds, baking powder, and salt.

In a small bowl, whisk together egg, butter, and milk. Pour the liquid ingredients into the oatmeal mixture and stir until blended.

Spoon into prepared muffin cups, filling each three-fourths full. Bake in preheated oven until tops are golden, about 30 minutes.

Remove muffins to a cooling rack or turn upside down in muffin pan to cool bottoms and keep tops moist.

MegaOmega™ Low Carb Delicious Hot Cereal

2 Tbsp Oat bran
2 Tbsp MegaOmega™ Organic Sprouted Flax
2/3 Cup Water
1 tsp Pure-le Natural Spoonable Stevia One to One
1 dash Cinnamon powder
1 tsp Maple extract

Stir all ingredients together and microwave for 2 minutes. (Can add splash of cream, and a couple of blueberries).

MegaOmega™ Bread Machine Wheat Bread

1 Package Active dry yeast
1 1/4 Cups Whole wheat flour
3/4 Cup MegaOmega™ Organic Sprouted Flax
1 Cup Whole wheat bread flour
1 Tbsp Dry milk powder
1 tsp Sea salt
1 1/2 Tbsp Flax oil
1/4 Cup Unpasturized honey
1 1/2 Cups Pure clean (not tap) water

For a 1 lb bread machine. Place ingredients in the pan of the bread machine in the order recommended by the manufacturer. Select cycle; press Start.

MegaOmega™ Berry Smoothie

An excellent source of vitamins, minerals, enzymes, protein, essential fatty acids, and antioxidants. Ideal for a quick, healthy meal replacement.

1/2 Cup Soy or rice milk
1/2 Cup Fat-free plain yogurt
1/2 Frozen Banana peeled
2 Tbsp Powdered protein drink
1 1/2 Tbsp MegaOmega™ Organic Sprouted Flax (I prefer with blueberry)
1 tsp Unpasturized honey
1/2 Cup Frozen strawberries
1/2 Cup Frozen raspberries

In a blender, blend all ingredients until smooth.

MegaOmega™ Great Granola

4 Cups quick cook oats
1 Cup Chopped toasted almonds
1/4 Cup Toasted wheat germ
1/4 Cup Sunflower seeds
1/4 Cup MegaOmega™ Organic Sprouted Flax
1 tsp Ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp Ground nutmeg
1/3 Cup Oil
2/3 Cup Unpasturized honey
1/2 Cup Raisins
1/2 Cup Dried pineapple pieces
1/2 Cup Dried unsweetened cranberries
1/2 Cup Dried papaya pieces

Preheat oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, mix the oats, almonds, wheat germ, sunflower seeds, MegaOmega™ Organic Sprouted Flax, cinnamon, nutmeg, oil, and honey. Spread evenly over the prepared baking sheet, pressing down lightly with the back of a spoon.

Bake 20 minutes in the preheated oven, or until lightly browned. Allow to cool completely.

In a large bowl, break the cooled granola into large chunks. Mix in the raisins, pineapple, dried cranberries, and papaya. Store in an airtight container.
